With the recent closures of so many iconic San Diego nightlife joints this year, we’re excited for new beginnings and remodels at some of our favorite local spots! As the spring and summer seasons approach, keep an eye out for these much anticipated venues:
New York-style pizza, craft beer and positive vibes. This is what The New Yorker Pizzeria & Bar bring to the table down in the Gaslamp District. The New York-style venue just surprised us all, adding an innovative look to its floors by laying down pennies (that’s right, money-covered floors) across the room. Don’t believe us? Stop on in any day of the week and see for yourself! Monday & Tuesday are $1.50 slices & .75 cent wings and it doesn’t stop there – FREE slice Wednesdays are in full effect from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the purchase of any draft beer or well drink. Don’t forget to check-in to Yelp when you arrive to receive 20% OFF non-happy hour food items! Coming Spring 2015.
Situated directly on the Pacific Beach boardwalk, this iconic beach favorite is introducing an outside deck that will be ideal for people-watching and taking in the Pacific ocean sunsets all summer long. Coming Spring 2015.
PB hotspot, Firehouse, is bringing in the architectural geniuses at Tecture to revamp and modernize their prime space on the beach.
After a grease fire damaged much of kitchen area, Alehouse is using this setback to update their digs to something even better than it already was!
Formerly known as Stingaree, Omnia is busy taking over and adding a whole lot of glamour to the downtown nightlife scene.
Known for sushi with a splash, this ever-evolving oceanfront restaurant is adding a rooftop deck! Be on the lookout for Cannonball’s openning in April, 2015.
This PB bar and grill just recently opened following a brilliant remodel. Check out this new eatery for a completely different dining experience than what you’re used to in Pacific Beach!
Once occupied by The Marble Room, Rustic Root is bringing rustic American cuisine to the Gaslamp Quarter. Remodels will make this eatery the Gaslamp’s only rooftop dining room.
