October is when Fall finally starts to feel real. As soon at September ends, it seems as though we are all lighting our smelliest fall-scented candles and searching for scary movies on Netflix. Get even more in the Halloween spirit with one of these five Haunted Activities in San Diego this fall – if you’re not too scared, that is.

The Haunted Trail of Balboa Park

The Haunted Trail of Balboa Park is a stroll through the park unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Before entering the 1 mile long trail, you will have to navigate your way through the eXperiment, a twisted maze of lost souls. Once you make it out, you will encounter vampires, creepy clowns, aliens and don’t forget about the saws. Occurring from September 30th through October 31st, buy tickets for the Haunted Trail of Balboa Park here before the spooky season escapes us.

Escape Rooms

Packed full of spine tingling, heart pounding scenarios, escape rooms are meant to be an adrenaline-filled challenge. Fully interactive and unlike anything you’ve ever done before, you will be challenged to work with a team to make your way out of a room filled with clues and tricks to help you escape. Choose from The Great Room Escape downtown in the Gaslamp District or The House of Hints and see if you have what it takes to make it out of a trapped room in under 60 minutes.

The Scream Zone

Located at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, The Scream Zone is everything your nightmares have been made of. A horrifying House of Horror, KamEvil freakshow, Haunted Hayride, and Zombie Bootcamp await you this year at the fairgrounds. Dates for 2016 include October 6 – 9, 13 – 16, and 19 – 31st. Fridays and Saturdays are from 7:00 PM to midnight and all other days are from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Prices vary depending on which attractions you choose to see, find tickets here.
