Do you love dogs? Do you love beer? Do you love dogs and beer?! Well we’ve got the event just for you! Dog and beer lovers: we present to you Barks and Brews Beer Fest, Saturday June 16th at the Embarcadero Marina Park North. Barks and Brews is a interactive daytime event celebrating your furry companion and local breweries all over the San Diego area. Enjoy a day with your best friend filled with craft beers, dog contests, raffle prizes, puppy treats, music, and more.
For the Pups
Barks and Brews is a dog friendly event so of course we pulled out all the stops to make this a very special day for all the pups! These furry companions are going to be very excited surrounded by all the other doggos, so there will be a designated unleashed area for both small and big dogs. Included in the unleashed area will be an agility course from 12-3pm brought to you by Dog Quest. They are for sure going to be parched after playtime, so throughout the park we will have designated dog water stations and complimentary dog treats for all the good boys & girls. Want to share a cold one with your best friend? There will be Doggie Beer made with crafted bone broth brought to you by Marley’s Pet Planet! There will be 4 bowls with 4 different flavors, so the dogs can have their own little beer tasting too.
Don’t forget about the Dog Contests! If your pup is a fashionista or has a special talent, you should definitely enter them in our costume and/or talent contest. The Best Dressed and Most Talented contest winners will win a prize package including dog treats, craft door beer, grooming and pampering essentials, and much more.
For the Humans
Can’t forget about the humans! While your pup(s) are running around we will have over 40+ craft beers for you to taste, delicious foods to enjoy (Doggos Gus, Bread and Cheese, Gnarly Nachos, Meat Locker BBQ, and Dang Brothers Pizza), and plenty of dog vendors so you can treat your pup to all of the new toys, treats, costumes, and grooming essentials you could ever imagine.
For the Pups in Need
As you know, not all dogs are as lucky to have amazing pet parents such as yourself. We are teaming up with The Barking Lot to help those pups without homes in need. The Barking Lot is a local, non-profit dog shelter in San Diego that rescues dogs from area shelters, humane societies, and Mexico, where they are often at risk of being abandoned or euthanized. This organization works to find forever homes for these dogs, pairing them with families for many yappy endings! Proceeds from Barks and Brews will go towards this amazing organization in the hopes that their dogs will find that special home.
