New Year’s resolutions always sound like a good idea when you make them, but when it comes down to execution procrastination starts to set in. Especially with the sudden onslaught of sunshine we’ve been enjoying after weeks of braving basically the next Ice Age in San Diego. So it’s the third week in January and you haven’t exactly been “working out.” We’ve been there before and have recruited some professionals who are prepared to offer killer sign up discounts to help you find that motivation you lost after the post-NYE madness.
This Saturday DJhere Productions is teaming up with a few gyms and trainers here in San Diego to throw an 80’s Workout Party to remind you that getting into the fitness spirit can be fun. So dust off your workout gear and come out for a night of fun and fitness. I mean it’s not everyday that you can go out to a fancy club in yoga pants and tennis shoes (which guys think are extremely sexy by the way). And every girl loves a guy confidant enough to rock men’s apparel from the 80’s.
We know what you’re thinking, “Drinking isn’t exactly conducive to losing weight.” Well the truth is neither is trying to make drastic lifestyle changes without taking baby steps. This is where the California-based business, Bare Mixers is here to help. Saturday at Ivy Nightclub Bare Mixers will be serving up samples of their “skinny” drink mixers to help you learn how to make smarter choices. With only 17 calories per ounce and all natural flavors, you know the actual natural not the concentrate “natural,” Bare Mixers will have you wondering why you order those over-the-top sugary drinks in the first place.
And for your enjoyment we’ve staged a nice competition for you all to root on your favorite San Diego trainer. Trainers from Pure Fitness, Undisputed, BA Training and SDMT will be competing in hilarious challenges to show who really is the best trainer in San Diego. They will certainly be putting on a show!
Gym’s/Trainers Involved:
Pure Fitness |
Pure Fitness has a few locations in San Diego with a new location slated to open in February at the Westgate Hotel downtown. The new location will be the nicest health and wellness center in San Diego. The center will feature three floors with full spa services, top of the line equipment, multiple group exercise studios, and locker rooms so fancy there is a Jacuzzi inside. The rooftop is the biggest amenity they offer with a Jr. Olympic size pool, lounge chairs, basketball court, running track, cardio deck, and spin classes, all to enjoy under the San Diego sunshine. Pure Fitness will be offering guests to Saturday’s event a sign up discount. Just look for their sign up sheet in the winebar of Ivy Nightclub to give them your contact information.
BA Training |
Owned and operated by Clifton Harski, BA Training offers professional personal training at affordable rates. Clifton is a movement, strength and conditioning coach who travels the country training NFL athletes and lecturing at leading fitness workshops to lend his expertise to personal trainers and physical therapist from around the US. He isn’t the type of personal trainer who screams in your ear or makes you so sore you never want to work out again (I can vouch, I’ve been to some of his classes). Instead Clifton wants to teach his clients the RIGHT way to workout to get maximum results. If you’ve had serious
injuries like me, Clifton is a great trainer to help strengthen your weak zones and prevent future injuries. With a BS in Kinesiology and a lot of fancy certifications, he really takes the time to piece together a custom workout for your body. His courses are part physical therapy and a lot of muscle training, so your body isn’t just working out but getting stronger in areas that will help relieve joint pain that many former athletes suffer from. You might not leave his classes dripping with sweat and wanting to faint but two days later you certainly will feel the tenderness in your muscles and wonder how you could be sore from such an enjoyable workout. On Saturday, Clifton will be offering the following discounts:
- 20 Percent discount on any private 1 on 1 or private group training
- Standard Group Rates are $100/hour for up to 5 people & $125 for 6-8 people
- 20 percent off BOOTYCAMP enrollment
- Standard BOOTYCAMP costs $25/class for 2 times a week for 4 weeks

hello , i wanted to inform about my new website http://www.sexygirlssports.com a nice sexy girls gallery
Great blog! Sorry to get off subject, but since this is the new year, I’d like to find a great personal trainer in Nashville TN. Have you read any recent buzz? There’s a new gym called Next Level Fitness, but I’ve only seen a few reviews. Here’s the address of this new Nashville Personal Training Gym, 1917 Church Street Nashville, TN 37203 – (615) 329-2747. Thoughts? Thanks!
Gday, I am a new comer to pools. We obtained a house in wintertime that has a swimming pool which we found out has not been dealt with for at least a year or so. My wife and I exposed it 2 weeks ago and now have been treating it. It began with a great deal of crud in the bottom that we fished away. Now it’s soft green, but it’s failing to get better. I found a small business in the area, has anyone come across them or suggest any others? Affordable Pool Service & Repair, 2942 N 24th St #114, Phoenix, AZ 85016, (602) 910-2295. Any additional info will be appreciated.
