This Friday, we are featuring a special guest at the Hard Rock Hotel! I was not too sure on who this was before I started to dig a little…. Turns out, this is someone who I think would be one of those girls you would find in the back of the room just chillin’ with the guys and laughing at the girls at the party who kiss each other. She is totally cool and I can’t wait to see her this Friday… Read on and get to know her a little bit more!

Gwendolyn Lewis AKA Guinevere is a Toronto, Canada native and one seriously badass chick. Her take on Bon Jovi’s, ‘Living on a Prayer’ is something for the band to be proud of…she has a perfect mix of sweet songstress and raspy rock legend that comes out to a sound that is sweeping the music charts.

From ice hockey skates to 6-inch heels, she is used to being the spotlight… But what many probably don’t know is that she was actually enrolled in Business School prior to leaving to chase her dreams of being in the music business. Some of the prior training helped though, she owns her own record label, aptly titled, ‘Nuke Town Records’ after a map in the video game Call of Duty.

As far as her musical roots go, it’s no surprise that she boasts her favorite artist is Jimi Hendrix (my kind of girl!)…

“I was definitely born in the wrong era,” explains the real-life Gwendolyn Lewis, who made her performing debut at a second grade talent show singing the Beach Boys’ “Surfer Girl,” getting turned on to Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Black Sabbath and her idol Stevie Nicks by her dad growing up. “Music has always been in my life. I keep gravitating to it, and there’s no avoiding it now.”

For the sound on her newest release, ‘Crazy Crazy’, she looked at some of the biggest names in the industry for influence – Justice, Skrillex, and Annie Lennox.

It’s no wonder she gave herself the name of Guinevere when she entered the industry. Guinevere was the strong and fair wife of King Arthur who stepped out on him for his best friend King Arthur. This week, we are HONORED to present a Special Edition of Intervention by handing over the decks to Tiesto. So for having such a SPECIAL GUEST we are having a special edition this week.

Tiesto, Tijs Michiel Verwest, was born on January 17th 1969 in the Netherlands. In 1997, he co founded the ‘Black Hole Recordings’ label, which is where he released his infamous ‘In Search of Sunrise’ CD series. In 1998, he teamed up with producer Dennis Waakop Reijers, who is credited as producer, writer, composer, and arranger on many of Tiesto’s Releases. After many popular releases, including his remix of the Sarah McLachlan hit ‘Silence,’ he reached the #1 spot in the DJ Magazine Top 100 for 3 consecutive years (2002 – 2004).

In 2004, Tiesto performed at the opening ceremony in Athens, becoming the first DJ to perform on stage at the Olympics. In 2007, he launched his radio show, ‘Tiesto’s Club Life,’ and his 3rd studio album ‘Elements of Life,’ both have which become highlights of his career. ‘Elements of Life’ reached number on the Dutch chart, as well as earning a Grammy Nomination for it in 2008. In 2009, he went on to release his fourth studio album ‘Kaleidoscope,’ and in 2011 he released his compilation CD, ‘Club Life, Vol1 Las Vegas.’

In 2012, he was voted to the #3 spot in the DJ Mag Top 100 and released the second part of the CD Compilation series, ‘Club Life, Vol 2 Miami.’

Considered a “producers producer,” he is known for bumping out quality tracks with a melodic and big room feel.
