it’s rare we find a new place in SD that has both amazing food, delicious ambiance, and attention to design detail such as this place. its only been open about a month, but is hands down the best Italian food we have had in a long time. a lot of what makes Italian food so good is what i like to call the “purity and piety” … the ingredients are of the highest quality and the way it is prepared is simple yet deliberate. meaning rather than put 10 things in a particular dish, like we might in the US, italians usually atone to the “less is more” concept. you can taste the basil, olive oil, balsamic …. and the REALĀ mozzarella cheese.
