mini cochella ?

this may 2nd, mission bay will come alive with bands, djs, fashion, live art and all with the goal to build a homeless shelter for san diego’s youth.  its called The Elemental Experience and its no “rave”, its an outdoor art and music festival right on the shores of the bay. better yet, at this event, and for this day only … YOU CAN DRINK.  it’s kind of like a mini Cochella on mission bay. another nice element (pardon the pun) is its nearly all SOLAR powered. the brainchild of stayclassy.org, they are pushing, or should i say “evolving” what san diego is as a city … thats why DJhere is hosting both the VIP area and the DJ Stage. so get your fucking tickets NOW. can i say super djs SCOOTER, Ayla Simone, & Craig Smoove will lay down dope beats in between Matisyahu, Pinback, Bassnectar, Dirty Sweet and more. not to mention bikini shows on the DJhere DJ stage by ShopModern & Tyler Rose Bikini.  if you miss this event, you … truly … are … lame.

everything Y BEER …

downtown has La Puerta. southpark has El Camino – both huge favorites of this author. PB needs something like this … introducing … mi casa. its a stand alone mexican taco shop that is both a gringo haven and real mexican watering hole. yes, they serve “everything y BEER”. there’s a huge outdoor patio that should be really cool , but the 1980′s yellow “taco bell” furniture isn’t super comfy for throwing back cold ones … just yet. but FULL DISCLOSURE: mi casa is part of the DJHERE, FIREHOUSE, SD Creative Media and coming soon Syrah Sprit & Wine Parlor (a blog for a another day) … family.
